About

My journey into the world of dog training began with a Siberian Husky named Splash. Rescuing her was a turning point in my life. Splash had a tough past, filled with challenges, including severe separation anxiety and destructive behaviors that tested both our patience and resilience. It was through Splash that I learned the true depth of commitment and understanding needed to help a dog overcome its past traumas.

Over 16 years, Splash and I navigated the complexities of various dog training methods, discovering what worked best through trial and error. This extensive, hands-on experience laid the foundation for DogsU.com. My goal is simple: to share the knowledge and strategies that made a difference for Splash, with the hope of assisting others facing similar challenges with their furry companions.

Sadly, Splash passed away in 2023, just two months shy of her 18th birthday. The loss was profound, but her legacy lives on through this blog. DogsU.com is a tribute to her and a resource for all dog owners seeking guidance and support. It’s dedicated to the belief that every dog deserves a second chance, just like Splash did.

Here, you’ll find insights gathered over nearly two decades of real-world dog training experience. From tackling separation anxiety to curbing destructive behaviors, the focus is on practical, compassionate solutions that respect the bond between dogs and their owners.
